Sam Bell
Sam has spent his career helping to grow a number of social-good-oriented organizations in diverse causes. He worked with ARC Evals (now METR), bringing practical and management experience to complement ARC’s technical expertise on evaluating AI systems for dangerous capabilities.
Sam previously co-founded the research and advocacy group Employ America which led the effort to defeat a series of flawed nominees to the Federal Reserve, helped start the Institute for Progress, and worked with Jake Swett to advocate for the adoption of the Apollo Program for Biodefense.
Earlier in his career, he co-founded the Genocide Intervention Network; oversaw advocacy efforts resulting in federal legislation and a wave of targeted divestment policies by states, cities and universities; and was a Partner at The Management Center for six years, providing management and leadership advice for social change organizations.
