Parker is a PhD student in Economics at MIT, where his research focuses on the economics of AI. He has worked on the disconnects between AI benchmarks and real world capabilities, forecasting AI capabilities under compute slowdowns and whether an intelligence explosion will be bottlenecked by experimental compute.
