Lucas is on the Model Interaction team at METR, and has previously conducted research in mechanistic interpretability of language models, human mathematical cognition, and natural language understanding for virtual assistants. He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Mathematics.
