Daniel works on risk assessment at METR. He also has a podcast called the AI X-risk Research Podcast, or AXRP, where he interviews researchers about their work relevant to reducing catastrophic risks from AI. Previously, he was a Senior Research Manager at MATS Research, Inc. He graduated from UC Berkeley with a PhD in Computer Science in 2024.
